Project Name:

Develop a fund-raising campaign for The Grove Theatre

Sponsor Name:

Jim Armstrong

Sponsor Organisation:

Kawartha Works Community Cooperative

Brief Description Of Project:

Our project is related to the “The Grove Theatre” in which we need to raise funds to build a multipurpose or amphitheater building in Fenelon Falls. Kawartha Works Community is a non-profit organization established in 2015 which helps the communities to solve particular social problems so that people can have a good lifestyle

Project Objective:

The objective of our project is to design and implement a marketing campaign to help with raising funds.  Our marketing plan is designed to make people aware of the ‘Grove theatre’ and Kawartha works community cooperative and their initiatives for the welfare of the community so that the businessperson and individuals of the city of Kawartha lakes support the construction of Grove Theatre.

Project Innovation:

We have developed an  three email templates for community, art and there lovers and for the businesses but out of this three, we decided to go for email template for businesses as we had already research businesses from nearby area and develop database.

To have a creative and attractive posters and graphic we had gone through brainstorming our ideas as we needed a message to be persuasive.

Challenges & Solutions:

Time constraints were our biggest obstacle. We had to study marketing campaigns, fundraising activities and check potential donors in just three months, and in those months had to build enticing posters and e-mail.

However, after conducting meetings with sponsors and discussing a few topics, we concluded that we’d concentrate more on donations from individuals and small businesses. It was a whole new experience because we were completely unaware of it but still we completed the work on time.

Project Results or Progress:

We are almost done with all the parts of the project like we have prepared a list of donors database, attractive posters, and email which carries an important message for the donors and only the last step is left that us we have to send an email to the respective donors in the database and wait for their positive feedback. Since it’s an ongoing project, it needs funds to make progress for the betterment of the society and where ideas can turn into reality.

Lessons Learned:

We have learned different types of the lesson by working in a group as we came to know that there will be always a problem when we will do any task so we should try to solve that particular problem in a cooperative manner. We should welcome the ideas of each other as all the members have different skills and it will also motivate the member to do their best as they will feel the sense of belongingness. Lastly, in a team always represent yourself as ‘we’ instead of saying ‘I’ as it will increase the chances of a conflict.
