Brief Description Of Project:

The Plumbing Employees are using codebooks for their reference. It will be easy if we can make that codebook into an Android application with easy search and indices.

Project Objective:

The main aim is to introduce and implement a new methodology to develop an application that facilitates the Employees to view and search the details of the Plumbing Codebook and also the book details on a digital platform.

We have developed an android application as insisted by the sponsor with search options and Indices to navigate through the various sections of the plumbing codebook.

We have travelled with mentor as well as sponsor through various phase of the project and implemented their feedbacks and showed them the result

Project Innovation:

Our team Designed an interactive HTML page as a loading page for the application. We also added Scrolling method to the page so the user can scroll between the pages which is user interactive.

Challenges & Solutions:

There were Challenges during the project but our team came up with the solution in an interactive way. In one time , Since there were many pages in the codebook. Its difficult to navigate to the pages through a particular section so our team came up with the solution of adding Index to the codebook with various links to every section so that the user can navigate easily.

Project Results or Progress:

We developed an android application in which plumbers can able to login into the application and view the codebook and search for various sections and navigate through it for their reference.

Lessons Learned:

We were able to search the codebook for exact keywords. For future endeavor’s we can improve the search operation and make the search like google search engine. Time Management is another skill we have gained from working on this project. Amidst of the pandemic, it was challenging to get the work done, as the meetings were being cancelled. As time progressed we have coped with the situation and completed the project. Over this period of time, we have gained the experience of working as a team in a working environment.
